I was asked if I’d consider making a nose warmer for a friend. They’d sent me an image they’d found somewhere; it was obvious I wouldn’t be able to get my fingers on a copy of the pattern. Truth be told, they had asked me last year if I’d consider making them one. I hadĀ forgotten about itĀ until it popped up in my feed again. Then, the idea started to perculate in my head.

I had picked up some yarn with a bit of “sparkle” to it, and decided to sit down one morning and make this thing. Less than a couple hours later, I had the finished piece in my hand. And I was giggling like a maniac. For whatever reason, the assembling of this project kept making me laugh. (This bodes well for the success of the end product.)

Below are the image I was sent and the photo of a satisfied friend.

The image I was given to use. Could I make one of these, if I only had this photo?

Who says you can’t have fun with fiber?

PS: While the advertisement suggests making the nose warmer out of wool, I had no idea if the recipient had any allergies to said fiber. I made my version out of acrylic yarn.
