I have this friend. Every now and again, we’ll send a surprise to the other – for no other reason than “because I can”. In this particular instance, she sent me a delightful pair of socks that I’m still giggling about. Knowing what I do of her fandoms, I thought I’d surprise her with a “Because I Can” gift of my own making.

I downloaded this app to my phone and set about putting together my idea. While I was creating the images I’d need, in a format I could use, I began assembling the supplies. My original idea was to hand embroider the complete set. However, I really didn’t want to take a couple of weeks (that I can’t afford to use up) to get the project made. This is where having a decently stocked sewing/craft room comes in handy.

I spent the better part of a day playing with my printer and fabric markers. All in all, I’m rather pleased with the results. Take a look:
